Diamond

In some ways this is a blip-cheat as this is not my shot and the blip-subject is approximately 160 miles away but the day itself needed to be marked and it wouldn't have been quite the same if I waited until tomorrow to take the shot myself. 

It is Mum and Dad's Diamond Wedding Anniversary today. Some subterfuge a few weeks ago to set this in motion and the bank holiday meant that it arrived on Friday in a very conspicuous envelope. We're off west tomorrow and then a bit further north on Wednesday to mark the occasion. 

Part of my day has been packing and getting sorted for our third trip of the summer. I also tackled the ironing pile, shopped for Bailey supplies and did one work job but didn't get around to the second. There will still be time to get it done before it is needed. And we walked round to the shops with the bestest friend for a catch up and a few lie downs and carries for Bailey. His  carry sack is definitely heading west too.
