Whisky and Croatia

A Christmas present from my daughter was a Distillery Tour and "dramming tray" at Tullibardine Distillery at Blackford. The distillery is a small one and still operating with less than modern equipment. The copper whisky stills are particularly impressive. While the output is obviously not huge , the quality of the end product is extremely good with the whisky given a different flavour through being aged in casks previously used for Bourbon, Sherry, Sauternes or Burgundy.
I settled down to watch what I expected to be a decisive defeat for Scotland in Croatia with whisky perhaps being a source of solace, only to witness yet another of those "games Scotland have no chance of winning" --- and they do! Think Holland in 1978, France in 2007 and England in 1967! Just a glimmer of hope for us tonight.
