Flutterbies

It was a really lovely day better than forecast.  Warm sunshine and a rare very gentle breeze all morning long before the dark clouds rolled in (as forecast) and there were thundery showers.

Sat on our seat at the far end of the beach and while we sipped our coffees and ate shortbread Mrs CBL and I were entertained by a few butterflies that fluttered around touching down on the marsh thistles and water mint (?).

Red Admirals and Green-Veined Whites were the ones I was able to capture and they were a delight to see.

Thankfully the showers have passed by now being replaced by pleasant evening sunshine.
