Acorns

Autumn is fast approaching ….. Horse and Sweet Chestnut trees full of ripening fruits and Oak trees with their acorns.

The Sweet Chestnuts have not started to fall yet and the casings are very prickly so not attacked by squirrels but the conkers and acorns that have fallen have been well attacked and the remains left on the ground.

A fine morning for a Pollok walk before spending the late morning removing the dead heads and stems of my Japanese Anemone which has spread to areas where I don’t really want it.
