GP surgery visit

Went for shingles jab today.
There were others in the waiting room - the first time I've seen so many people in there since the pandemic.
There was a notice on the outer door advising patients to keep 2 metres apart to prevent the spread of Covid 19. It appeared to be a new notice - it wasn't there the last time I went anyway. Seems a bit pointless as many of the chairs were not far apart and you had to walk between them to get to the rows behind the front one - with people sitting in them. Ah well!
Last Friday there was a serious incident at the surgery when a man smashed the glass panel screen between him and one of the receptionists. I was told today that the police were useless but I don't know the details of why they are saying that. They were being very security conscious today and locking each of the room doors, even while patients were in, in case he returns. Hope not. It must have been frightening for the staff.
Finished my Santa Montefiore book and will start a new book tomorrow.
No correspondence re my US scan of shoulder yet - hope it's not long as the pain is worsening.
Had to have a nap this afternoon due to having been woken very early with what sounded like someone banging on the door or wall next door.
It was cold last night and we had the electric fire on again! Global warming?
