Salvage from the Wreckage

Longish walk with L in the morning- some absolute bell-ends looning along the lanes in hot hatches. Gave them the little winkie finger wave.
Over to the festival site. Didn’t get the timing right at first and kept returning from a walk to find a set just finished. At tea time, C took Luna back to the AirBnB and I carried on audiencing. Bo Hingen were an excellent Japanese(?) noise/metal band. Hamish Hawk was an engaging Divine Comedy-ish band. Waeve seemed to be the sort of band that I like, but didn’t do it for me. Gwenno was very good - I’d expected twee from the Welsh/Cornish language singer - especially when she turned up in a Victorian nightie sort of dress - but much more powerful than that - with a great three piece band.
Sea Power finished the festival by playing Do You Like Rock Music in full and in order. The downside of playing a whole album is that not all the tracks are greatest hits. But some standout tracks here and nice to hear the rarities. A bit odd to have the usual finale - the Great Skua - in the middle!
Finished with a lovely moment when the new drummer received an on-stage wedding proposal!

C and Luna (bless them) picked me up late!
