Lesser stag beetle

You were spared a blip of an acquaintance painting her fence. It was a bit of a Tom Sawyer moment as we were watching her and talking, as you do and that story where Tom had paint the picket fence and got out of it by getting other kids to do it for him! You remember the story.

Anyway, we saw this beetle crossing the road in Mote Park. We were concerned for its safety as was at risk of being squashed. So we shepherded it to the edge the road.

Progress today has been up and down, so much so that I’ve a telephone consultation with the GP tomorrow morning.

In other news, all the stuff from the shed went to the recycling centre today. Pleased to find that in addition to all the other recycling bins there is also a place to safely dispose of household and garden chemicals and liquids!
