Container Mall......

Beautiful day today, watched Ella play netball this morning, great game for the girls ,they won.

Went and wandered around the Container Mall in the central area of Christchurch with Ella and my mother-in-law this afternoon since the weather was so nice.
This used to be , before the earthquakes, an area full of buildings, shops and businesses, the heart of Chch.
It was mostly destroyed in the quakes, or damaged and demolished after them.
This particular area has been rebuilt and a lot of the retail business here are operating out of remodelled shipping containers....you can see the red ones in the photo and the ones surrounding them. It is now known as the Container Mall.

There is still so much re-building to do in the central city...I haven't been in to see it much lately , I must take my camera in and have a real good look one day soon.
