House Finch Nest

We've been watching a pair of House Finches nesting in one of our trees.

They are quite stealthy with their comings and goings.

I was trying to get a photo of one or other of the pair on the nest (stippled white patch behind and to the left of the flying finch) when the male arrived.

He made his entrance to the nest covertly and I managed to capture the female as she sped away.
