Ripperda

Another open air play tonight.
This time we’re in Maarhuizen, near Winsum, near Groningen, to see Bert Visscher perform the role of Johan Willem Ripperda, a diplomat who lived about 300 years ago and originated from this region and played important (though dubious) parts in the politics of the Netherlands, Spain and Morocco even.

Bert played his part in his own Bert-style. Without him it would have been a long sit out in the (quite cold) open air. Bert and blankets saved the evening.

There’s a few more in the extras.
