Cheesecake airbrushed out

We fled the comparative bustle of our quiet little town today for the even more peaceful Mossy Point. We have a favourite lounging place on the banks of the Candlagan River where it runs into the sea. Across the bridge is Broulee, and after a time I left Mrs Dominie reading the newspapers while I went over for a walk along the beautiful beach. A very few surfboarders and kayakers were in the water and even fewer visitors on the sands, though this is the Queen's Birthday long weekend; wrong time of year, even for chill-gripped Canberrans. We called in on the way home at the Muffin Shop for coffee and baked cheesecake so delectable it should be banned.
