Wallace

Lunch with friends was followed by a quick trip into Falkirk to buy some bits and pieces. It was the first time I had been in the actual town centre in weeks - the place is a bit of a construction site at the moment - and I saw this new series of murals on a corner site opposite the Howgate shopping centre.

It relates to the Battle of Falkirk in July 1298 and, although it features William Wallace, the Scots army under his command were routed at Falkirk by an English army led by Edward I.
