Clams

I'm always amazed at the different markings on each individual clam shell. The Ewenni pottery dish my parents bought before I was born has its individual markings too, from the original hand glazing and the decades of wear.

The clams came from the Etang de Thau at Bouzigues this morning and made a delicious lunch with crème fraiche, chopped garlic and oregano and black squid-ink spaghetti.

Edit: the Exif data here is wrong - this was taken with a 50mm lens.
