Straw Donkey

The donkeys have been away on tour this week.  Not playing donkey concerts but a walking tour.  They do this very regularly during the summer.  Who wouldn't want to spend a day or four wandering with three donkeys?

They were back today and someone had made this straw donkey that now stands at the entrance to the field.

There was a telephone call this afternoon to warn me about changes to how we store food in our little feeding station.  Apparently some unknown critter turns up in the middle of the night and looks for the apples and carrots that are stored there.  And said critter is not a critter to clean up behind themselves.  So breakfast and new fruit have to be stored in a more secure place.

It was hot out there though.  A shower is on the plan.
