Tussock Tales

New Zealand Hebe

A lovely Spring day so we sprung into it and walked the bay and back to Greta Point. Greta Point was the site of the Patent Slip that was commissioned in 1863 to enable maintenance on the hulls of smaller vessels and also became a  flying boat terminal until 1956.
The Boss remembers flying on one of those when he was younger and thinking it was going to sink as the windows appeared to go under water during take off's and landings.
