A day in Noo Orleans and the SK, on the button as ever, had sussed out a place we must go. Jamnola. All we needed was a #8 bus. Gawdammit, their urban public transport is shit. We got there in the end, and what a fabulous place it was. Afterwards we moseyed eastward a couple of streets and over the tracks while a freight train approached with that horn blowing. This is what we want. And big art on warehouses. Oh and the Bywater brew pub with nachos and crayfish tails.
Back to the streetcar to Canal St and on the ferry over to Algiers where we walked the scenic streets until we were so flaked out we had to sit awhile at a cafe under outdoor fans. Yep, it’s very warm and humid.
And much later out for a Middle Eastern eat. And briefly the hotel bar. Well, briefly was the plan. The barmaid had other ideas.
