Wanderings and meanders

Kingfisher

Water of Leith, near Saughton, Edinburgh

The kingfisher was initially in the shadow but obliged to venture out into the strong sunshine, only for one shot though before it was gone.  Perhaps one day I'll take a photograph of a kingfisher I'm really pleased with, for now I'm content with just seeing the bird.

A tram out to see the rose garden at Saughton and then a long walk along the Water of Leith path back into town before heading home.  It was a warmer day than I had expected, summer seeming to come late.
