Cliffs at Old Hunstanton

The red chalk was laid down 99 million years ago and has fossils of sea creatures in it. Another beautiful day in Norfolk and another early start to see the birds being washed off their feeding grounds as the tide covered the sandy outcrops. There are hundreds of knot and oyster catchers and they put on a great noisy display.
Later on we went to an artist friend's exhibition in Fakenham and then had a walk in Old Hunstanton, the only resort on the East Coast that faces west!
Ive put an extra of just a few of the oyster catchers.
