Leith Festival

For the first time in years, the weather has been glorious for the start of Leith Festival this year. So much so, that the opening Gala day at Leith Links was mobbed by thousands of people enjoying both the events and stalls in the sunshine. Here are the ever so lovely people at the Better Together stall.

For the non Scots reading this, Better Together is the campaign that supports Scotland in the United Kingdom as opposed to going it along come the independence referendum in 2014. In the interests of fairness, just to mention that the Yes campaign were also there too at the other side of the Leith Links. I suspect that they were at opposite ends of the Links just in case discussions became too exciting between the two sides.

Following our visit there KryptoMart and I popped along to Portobello beach which was absolutely heaving with people, and there was even quite a few folks in the sea!

P.S. I reckon that the lovely lady looks a bit like the actress Kirstin Davis from 'Sex in the City'!
