Standing firm

Beautiful morning….
We had trifle for breakfast (best bit about not having seconds of it last night!) then sat in the garden in the sun chatting about possible holidays and home swaps and travel insurance and housing options. Couldn’t visit P today without being home very late as visiting time isn’t til the afternoon but I met T for an early lunch at the Red Lion,…we had a roast despite the weather being suddenly full on summer again.
Very uneventful drive, listening to the second and final part of All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy which we’ll be discussing at book grouo tomorrow night.
Stopped at A’s and we had some tea, looked over her garden and tasted her raspberry harvest (only 4 so far but it’s the first year they’ve been planted!). Caught up with all she’s been doing and planning and looking forward to a lovely sunny week (especially since she has 3 days off later).
Left her place at 8pm and on the way home I was treated to a beautiful sunset…had to stop to grab this shot on the way.
