Sunbeams

Narrow street

The streets are very narrow in the middle of Port Isaac, not very practical for today's life style.  Most of these cottages are holiday lets as there is nowhere to park a car, even round the back. It is quite a slog up the hill to the nearest food shop and carpark. Smuggling used to go on in the old days and it must have been easy to hide and escape down the narrow alleyways, in fact one is so small measuring a mere 18 inches across named Squeezy Belly Alley!

This morning we all trooped off to the old school on the cliffside for coffee and hot chocolate and then went exploring while the others swam and paddleboarded in the harbour.

Extra photos: Harbourside with the village behind, and a young seagull.
