Hoopoe

This was reported yesterday on Stromness Golf Course and again this morning so I headed over on the bus. By the time I got there the golfers and greenskeepers' activity had resulted in the bird hopping a wall into an adjacent garden. Fortunately, the householder was happy enough to have visitors see the bird. It is the first I have seen in the UK.
