Matera

It’s our 25th wedding anniversary tomorrow so we thought we should we’ve come to Italy for a week to celebrate.

We arrived at Matera this afternoon. The hotel is in the old town so no parking so I had to take it to a pre arranged garage to leave it until we move on. Unfortunately, because we are in a pedestrian zone the satnav refused to help so I might have ended up going a bit wrong and ended up with the hire car at the top of a fairly steep staircase!

I’m sure Bond didn’t have this problem when he was here.

Anyway all sorted via a 100 point turn.

We had a good look round the town, in the howling gales then found a bar then a great restaurant for dinner.
