Viola Viola

An extraordinary piece composed by George Benjamin.  Difficult to describe, at times it was like a duel.  The musicians Connie Pharoah and Hélène Clément had two music stands each for the rehearsal, for the actual performance they will have three.  It is difficult to portray through photographs the musicians' energy and movement.  Have added extras - including the last two taken after they had played through the piece to some of their peers.  Connie looks quite overwhelmed and it was lovely to see the hug.
