The Footbridge……

…….. alongside the Burleigh Bridge crossing the Taylor River. It is built alongside and attached to the road bridge. There is a strip of textured aluminum metal stretching along one half of the decking. The other half is wooden boards covered tightly with wire netting. I think the aluminum metal tracking is supposed to be frost and ice free thus safer for walkers. Maisie prefers to walk on the wire-netted wooden boards. Cyclists also use the footbridge. Just as well because the road is very busy particularly early in the morning when workers are heading west to Base Woodbourne and various wineries.
