Wrapping Up...

The unfortunate bee caught this afternoon in the web of this Cross Orb-Weaver spider in our front garden, adjacent to the front porch, has been immobilized by the spider's bite and wrapped with silk for later consumption.

A few feet away, another Cross Orb-Weaver waits patiently on our front door... 

(I'd prefer that the spiders not trap bees, but assume that this bee might have been nearing the end of its life when it blundered into the spider's web.)
