Peas and beans

A very hot and humid night and this morning my car was covered in orange dust from the Sahara.  

I went to my watercolour group this morning then this afternoon did that very rare thing for me  - instead of working in it I sat in the garden reading my book. I must have dropped off as a neighbour's garden shredder woke me up.

I did some cutting back and spent ages getting ivy off my hawthorn tree. After a late start my sweet peas are doing well now.  Some didn't make it so I filled the gaps with runner beans which are producing well.

When I was going some weeding, a frog jumped on my hand - I don't know who was most surprised!
