Late summer in my garden

Hot summer weather and lovely to have a home office day! 

The hybrid rose is French and called "Peace". The original name is Rosa Madame A. Meilland and was developed in 1935.  Meilland feared a German invasion and sent cuttings to friends in different countries. It was also sent to US on the last plane available, and it was safely propagated there and changed name :-)
