Looking Back

Spent a couple of hours at the allotment this morning, at least an hour of that watering the desert, before it got a bit too warm for comfort. Crazy, it’s September! Lifted the rest of the Sarpo Una spuds, still not a big crop but they taste great so I’ll try them again next year in a different bed. There was a single raspberry, a wee present for S.
Later we headed down to Musselburgh to meet friends because Stags had a bit of a beer festival going. Went early, wandered around, got a chippy and sat beside the Esk watching the sun start to set. Great! The picture is the view back to Edinburgh as we strolled to Stags where a crowd would soon gather to watch the mighty Scotland footie team put some Cypriots in their place. Our place is at the top of our group - doesn’t seem real but maybe, just maybe, we’ll make it to the finals in Germany next year.
