Day at a Time

154th birthday

The National Wallace Monument is 154 years old today. Its present was a fly past from the Red Arrows. There was barely time to take one snap. I had a reasonable spot but couldn't get them with the Monument itself. I'm agnostic about things like this (waste of aviation fuel vs spectacle) but as I probably won't see them again this is the blip. The other winged contenders were a buzzard, heron, goldfinch or cormorant and I might well see them another time.

So humid. We have had a bit of rain today but it's still very sticky. Quite uncomfortable. This morning's walk ended up in a bit of a lather.

A lovely time last night. We really enjoyed our friends' company and the food was well received. When she messaged this morning S. said it had been 'magical' and it was a bit. The weather was perfect and, as it's dark earlier now,  we had candles towards the end of the evening.  We spent the whole time outside. Lovely!
