Monza Mayhem (Retrospective Blip)

An early morning taxi to Desanzanzo train station, train to Milan and the Milan to Monza. The last train was full. Once at the train station there was no signage so we set off walking through Monza's Royal Forest, and by a stroke of luck arrived at our seat minutes before the formation lap. Saw Jenson Button perform the only overtake of the race.

Then the long walk out. Followed the crowd and this is going under the old Monza banking.

It was absolutely heaving on the train and very hot and uncomfortable. We made it back to Milan and thought we'd missed our train by a minutes, but ran and leapt on the train waiting at the platform. As it pulled away we didn't recognise anything but thank fully it took us back to Desanzanzo, got a bus back to Garda and very welcome food and drinks.
