Craft and Nature Market

I went into town today to visit this market that takes place on 2nd Saturday in September, in the town park.
There was the knife maker we met in town a couple of weeks ago, and people selling wood products, sheepskins, honey, cheese (especially goats cheese), berries from the forest, home-made cordial and so on.
However, the busiest stall was this one, which isn't selling anything, but is providing free information abut mushrooms from the forest. Härnösand's mushroom club set up their stall every year. They arrive with some mushrooms and then other people drop by with examples they have recently picked, and so the collection grows until by the end of the day there's something over a hundred different types of mushroom. There's a section for edible and tasty mushrooms, another section for "fillers", mushrooms that are okay to eat but not hugely tasty. You use them to "fill out" the tasty ones you have hopefully found. Another obvious section features the poisonous ones, marked with one skull or two. There's also a collection of mushrooms used to die wool, along with small examples of the colours produced.
If you turn up with your mushroom they'll probably be able to identify it, and you can also sign up for a couple of hours walking in the forest with a group and an expert, to see what you can find.
I spent a fair while looking at the stalls and produce but only purchased some home-baked soft flat bread, some of which we had with our salad dinner this evening.
