Cacophony

It's the inimitable Festival Son Miré this weekend. It continues to amaze me that in France you can obtain public money for something that appeals to so few people. It's usually extremely :: cough :: experimental and this performance by les Petits (father and son) was no exception. Dad had four saxophones and made a terrible racket on all of them. I couldn't decide if he had out-parped this, one of the oddest performances ever. At any rate, we stayed just long enough to drink one glass of wine before escaping back home.

We were back later to see Jacob's film about wild flowers in the Pyrenees, which was bland, but only half an hour long. His film about the banda was much better. There's more tomorrow ... we may give it a miss.
