Simply Red

A small red damselfly in the New Forest.

I took Hubs to a favourite haunt of mine which is s small stream usually heaving with dragonflies but I think being September the usual suspects had given up the ghost. This however was a good find as we don't get them near us at home and it qualifies as Nationally Scarce B. 

A beautiful demoiselle was hanging around in the stream in the Extra.

I just love travelling round with the free roaming cattle, horses, ponies and donkeys. It's a beautiful part of England which I feel we could explore better at a future date maybe next year.
