Watched CyclopsJnr at rugby training this morning where he did well.

Watched Scotland vs. South Africa this evening.  SA were outstanding, and ultimately showed what happens when #2 in the world and reigning champions play #5 in the world.  There's still a gap between Scotland and the top 4 in the world rugby rankings for a reason.  Scotland had a great first half with some epic defence and looked like they were holding their own in the scrum.  Line out was unreliable (that's charitable!) and they never looked properly dangerous in attack.  There was an early high tackle that looked similar to the one that cost England a player the other night - had that been picked up and pinged it would have been very interesting to see what Scotland could do against a 14 man SA...  Still, no use wishing about either that or the group allocations - they just have to get on with the job in hand and while they were very good at times, they will need to find something special to have a realistic chance of beating Ireland getting past the pool stage...
