CyclopsJnr

Sprout

Yes, he's dressed as a Brussels sprout.

This morning MrsCyclops took CyclopsJnr to the Lyceum Theatre family open day. This is the theatre where he did his youth theatre camp in the summer.

We had signed CyclopsJnr up for an over 8s drama session and he was really pleased that it was led by the same people who led his summer camp. MrsCyclops stayed for a quick chat afterwards and they very kindly said CyclopsJnr was "creative" and "had an energy in the space". Take from that what you will, although MrsCyclops would add that some other participants required substantially more cajoling from the endlessly patient leaders before they would even get slightly involved, whereas CyclopsJnr threw himself into it.

Whilst at the Lyceum, we also took part in a treasure hunt and a craft activity (making a notebook) and we tried on A LOT of theatre costumes most memorably including CyclopsJnr wearing this Brussels sprout and also a carrot. They also had backstage tours but we didn't sign up for that as CyclopsJnr was very familiar with the building already.

It was a lovely event we'd definitely go again. All free, too.

Later we three had a family game of Carcassonne and CyclopsJnr played with his two friends who live up the road.
