Grand Veymont

A long day...We went up Le Grand Veymont (2341m) from La Coche - 1000m climb and 20km. A long and lovely approach though meadows followed by a very steep climb to the summit. The views were stunning! On a good day you can see the Mont Blanc from the summit - it was too hazy yesterday but we could see some snowy mountains, and the Mont Aiguille was the star of the show.
We also saw more Bouquetins, females and a young, and a couple of marmots.
Unfortunately we had a burst tyre on the twisty road back from La Coche but the hire agency sent us a rescue vehicle very quickly.
I have back blipped the previous 2 days.
