Wanderings & Witterings

Palace

One of my friends messaged me over the weekend and suggested meeting up today for a walk and a blether. We met in Culross this morning and started with a tour around the Palace, built for an enterprising man who made his money in the coal and salt industries in the late 16th / early 17th centuries and which is now in the custody of the National Trust for Scotland.

Today's Blip was taken from the terraced gardens behind the Palace.

After a late lunch we had a pleasant walk among the network of paths above the village before heading back to get a coffee before our buses home.

Culross is one of these places one can visit at any time of year, and we were fortunate to have a dry and occasionally sunny and warm day for our impromptu outing.
