Not sure that's laid completely flat

Ah, the delights of getting new carpets. All day long, the fitters have been banging and drilling and cutting and god-knows-what-ing. 

Just when I thought my head would burst, they knocked off for the day. They've finished the big bedroom and prepped the upstairs landing and half the stairs. Seems like good progress to me. 

Would I mind, they asked, if they left a roll of carpet on the stairs? When I replied that it was fine, I didn't expect them to add another roll. This was a bit less fine, but it won't be for long. No point getting too Victor Meldrew about it.
