First hike

This is the first day of a multi-day hike. I had brought the wrong shoes, they were soaked after 10 minutes (I walked around with wet feet for a two weeks).

We are in Snowdonia NP and because of the crowds, we deliberately don't go to Mount Snowdon, so we decided to hike in the valleys around it. There is hardly anyone there.
We started in Capel Curig, and after a long search we ended up at the lake (Llyn Cowlyd) I saw on the map. The difference with hiking in, say, Norway is that here there are no signposts, and because it is not crowded, the paths are also gone. Really off-road, then.
It was drizzly and slippery all day. So after a long trek, we luckily managed to find a spot where we could pitch the tent.
You are not officially allowed to wildcamp here. But yes, we did anyway. Of course, you won't see any of it when we leave again, we are experienced hikers.

In the second picture you can see me wringing out my socks...
