First physalis harvest

But when I think how much water and care goes into these big plants, in winter in the sunroom, in summer in the hot house, I wonder whether it is worth the effort, especially as nowadays you can buy these „golden berries“ in many places. It wasn’t an option three years ago when I first bought the seeds.
What is worth the effort is the Italian kale that I harvested yesterday and prepared with duck grease, leftover and frozen after a Christmas dinner. Delicious.
