Arnside Knott

This is such a familiar landmark for us.  As the crow flies it is less than 4 miles away from Grange and the train takes a fairly direct route across the Kent Estuary but by road the journey is about 18 miles.  There is a proposal to add a foot/cycleway to the railway viaduct as part of the Cumbria coastal path.
