Gillipaw's Journal

Callanish

This is part of the Callanish sculpture on the campus of the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, with the Wolfson Centre in the background.

Created in 1971 by Gerald Laing, in Cor-Ten steel, it was inspired by the pre historic standing stone circle on the west side of the Island of Lewis.

I used to enjoy passing it everyday, moving between lectures. Interesting shadows.

(Been back blipping today after a very busy week.)
