I went to visit Ellie after school today. We had a fun visit. She wanted to curl up in our favorite rocking chair and read pages in her new chapter book. She was actively listening and attentive, even with no pictures. We didn't finish the chapter; she said she would finish it at bedtime. She was tired but she told me she couldn't take a nap because she wouldn't fall asleep on time tonight. Wise girl.
