London street scene

Our granddaughter’s grandmother is over in England on a last minute trip from California with her friend and her friend’s daughter.

We took the opportunity to travel up to London this afternoon to spend the evening with them all.

A very enjoyable time was had by all with all sorts of images flying back across the Atlantic. We had a meal at the Porterhouse near Covent Garden. We’d been there a few times before the pandemic and really enjoyed it. It was so different this time, nowhere near as good as we remembered it.

We walked from Victoria to Covent Garden and back to Victoria afterwards. It was a fine evening and a very pleasant walk in both directions. Quite remarkable for the time of year. We were surprised by how quiet the roads were compared to last time we were there.
