Dunlins

A walk from Yesnaby to Skail Bay on the west coast of mainland Orkney.
Seen on the walk- a female merlin, ravens, 2 wheatears, 1 golden plover, i hare, 1 stoat, curlews, lapwings, sanderlings, ringed plovers,  etc.
The extra is where I stopped off for coffee, the Broch of Borwick, an Iron Age structure. It gave some shelter from the chilly west wind but eventually the wind died down and it was quite hot in the sun.
