100% Cotton

A wet afternoon lead to reminiscing about where have we been this summer.
One outstanding visit was to Quarry Bank, a National Trust property in Cheshire. An interesting property where one can learn about the creation of a cotton mill and the associated village to house the staff at Styal, near Wilmslow and the  Apprentice House where young people  lived and were trained to be mill workers.

The blip is a piece of material which they can still weave today on looms from the 1800
