The old and the new

The light was so warm tonight I knew this was the place to go take my blip.

This is Glasgow's new Riverside Museum and, in the foreground on the wonderful River Clyde, is the "Glenlee" a tall ship that circumnavigated the world seven times (I think.)

The museum was designed by the very famous architect Zaha Hadid. I remember when it opened two years back she visited, and, by all accounts she was a bit of a purist and a diva (or so my inside sources told me.)

For those not from these lands, the Riverside Museum is a transport museum and really is well worth a visit - you see the wonderful Clyde shipbuilding history brought to life in its many exhibits.
