Allium seed head

I’ve had this shot in reserve for a rainy day for a while. Today was that rainy day. Some torrential rain about half an hour after I got to the allotment curtailed plans somewhat.

It rained on and off all morning, adding plenty of much needed fresh water to the pond and the water butts.

The weather improved in the afternoon giving a fresh feel to the air and some bright sunshine as we walked around the village and Mote Park
