Salvage from the Wreckage

Putting the fun into funeral

Took Luna to the daycare kennels while M and L arrived from London.
Lots of logistics but we got all the rellies to the crem on time.
Mum had specified a no-frills funeral with everyone requested to wear bright colours. When we arrived, the car park was a sea of colour.

The affair went well. Ella singing They Can’t Take That Away From Me, me reading You’re Nobody Till Someone Loves You, affecting slide show accompanied by Dean singing Memories are Made of This, Louis sing I’ll Be Glad When You Dead You Rascal You.

And afterwards at the Pirate Adventure Golf as specified by mum. Well, the golf centre. We should have indulged in the Pirate Adventure part.

Room was at capacity which was pretty good going considering the average age of the people in her address book.

Some people had come a long way which was really appreciated. Some nice catch-ups which must be repeated without such a sad trigger.

Lots of people congratulated us on a good day. Which is, I suppose, usual, but it was nice of them all.

Bundled the last rellies onto a bus and went off to breathe a sigh of relief and play football
